Most Beautiful Fall Locations in Western Canada

January 25, 2022 by Annie

Beautiful fall locations in Western Canada are abundant with stunning landscapes that are perfect for photography. You can find breathtaking views of the North Saskatchewan river valley, the Rocky Mountains, or the vast prairies.

This is a list of the most beautiful fall locations in Western Canada. If you’re going on vacation this season, make sure to add these destinations to your list!

Banff National Park

The fall season is one of the most popular times to visit Banff National Park. With cool temperatures and colors changing on trees and leaves, there are countless places to go during this time of year.

This destination offers both recreational activities like hiking, biking or kayaking as well as iconic wildlife sightings like bears or mountain goats. It has so many activities and sights that you’ll be sure to find something you like.

Lake Louise

Lake Louise is a Canadian alpine lake that is located in Banff National Park. A tourist destination, the surrounding mountains are beautiful in the fall.

Lake Louise has so much beauty because it is set at the edge of an immense glacier. The lake reflects its surroundings by being frozen most of the year.

If you are looking for a beautiful fall destination, Lake Louise would be worth checking out.

Kootenay National Park

The fall is a great time to visit Kootenay National Park if you are into hiking. The suspension bridge that overlooks the breathtaking view of the park’s namesake lake is one of many treks that visitors love to take.

Kootenay National Park is also great for scenic views and wildlife spotting. While there are no bears in this national park, you will find moose, elk, deer, birds like eagles and vultures.

Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island is a top destination for visitors in the fall due to its temperate climate, lush vegetation and natural beauty. Vancouver Island also offers plenty of outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, biking and more.

It has a variety of great places to visit that range from homes for sale in Vancouver to pumpkin patches and beautiful waterfalls.

Vancouver Island has something for everyone – it’s a place where you can enjoy the best of British Columbia’s rugged coast, take in the spectacular views and partake in fresh seafood dishes and wineries.

Whiteshell Provincial Park

Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba is also the perfect place to visit in the fall. It is a beautiful time in the forest and the colors are amazing.

The leaves have all changed from green to orange and red, making this place look like it’s been set ablaze from within. The sky is so blue because there has been no pollution, and it’s breathtakingly beautiful during this time of year. It’s also one of the only places where you can see so many stars that they seem almost endless at night.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
