Gift Ideas When Your Partner REALLY Isn’t a Morning Person

April 20, 2020 by Annie

Sharing a house with the person you love is fun until you realize just how poorly your sleep schedule lines up. Some people prefer to wake up early and get a jumpstart on their day, but others savor an extra five minutes of sleep.

The person who loves to sleep more might fall into the habit of running late. Rushed showers and skipping breakfast are never a good way to begin a new day!

If your partner needs help getting that extra motivation to move in the morning, you could be the one to provide it. You can also be the one to encourage them to snuggle in late on their days off.

Giving your partner gifts is always a struggle when you don’t know what to look for, but if they really aren’t a morning person, these six might be a great start.

  • Energized Shower Gel

Taking a shower is a great way to wake yourself up in the morning. To give your partner a little extra boost at the start of their day, you can give them energized shower gel.

There are specific shower gels and body washes that contain ingredients designed to wake you up in the morning.

They come in different scents to cater to everyone’s likes. Your partner can easily add this to their morning routine without a hitch.

The only difference they will notice is that they feel so much more awake and prepared for the day after their shower.

All they have to do is lather up and the soap will do the rest of the work.

  • A Soothing Alarm Clock

The worst part about having to wake up might just be getting woken up by the sound of an aggressive alarm.

Getting startled awake is never comfortable and will probably make your morning-hating partner want to roll back over. Instead, you can give your partner an alarm that plays soft sounds to wake them.

Some alarms begin quieter and raise in volume automatically the longer they play. This allows for a gradual wake up and a smoother transition into consciousness.

You can make waking up more enjoyable for your partner so they will be more prepared for that time of the day.

  • An Instant Coffee Pot

If they really can’t seem to wake up without a real boost, coffee might be the best solution. But if they are running late, how will your partner have time to get some?

The answer: an instant coffee pot. It only takes a few minutes to brew a single cup of caffeine and get on with the day.

Your partner won’t hesitate to press a few buttons that will give them a delicious wake-up call. You can even get them started with a few of their favorite coffee flavors along with the pot.

Gift Wits highlights some awesome coffee accessories to go with your new coffee pot as well. A new travel mug would go perfectly with a coffee pot so they can take their cup on the go.

Instant coffee pots might be the most helpful item in the house when it comes to being prepared to have a great day.

  • Flannel Bed Linens

For the days that your partner is able to sleep in and enjoy their morning lounging around, they should really do it with extreme comfort.

Make their bed a comfortable haven with the perfect sheets. Flannel sheets or blankets create the ultimate place to snuggle.

They are so soft and warm that your partner will never want to leave their bed. While it might be a problem during the workweek, the weekends will be spent in the right place.

Flannel sheets also come in fun patterns. Find a print of their favorite animal or a color that matches their bedroom to really make your partner smile.

Your partner’s bed should help them sleep their best in order to have the best day possible ahead. That can be done with the perfect soft sheets.

  • A Fitness Tracker

Sleeping well is an important part of having a good and productive day. That could be the reason your partner enjoys sleeping in. If they don’t feel well-rested, they won’t want to wake up!

To help them keep track of their sleep patterns, a fitness tracker is a great idea. While they do track activity and fitness levels, they also track sleep if they are worn at night.

Knowing how much they sleep might help your partner get into a routine of waking up at the same time every day. They will realize that they are actually getting more sleep than they think!

Being able to track exercise is also a huge plus. Your partner will want to try to get in enough steps during the day, motivating them to get up and get moving as soon as possible.

A fitness tracker is a perfect gift for the person who might not love getting up to work out. A device like this will help them stay active and sleep better.

  • A Waffle Iron

Having a good breakfast is an important part of any day. If they are rushing around in the morning, there is a good chance your partner isn’t getting the best breakfast possible.

Get them inspired to get up with an easy to use a waffle iron. Everyone loves a fresh batch of something delicious in the morning!

They’ll want to make a little extra time for breakfast if they have the right tools to make it. Even if they don’t have the time, that’s what you are there for!

Whip up some tasty waffles to start the day on the right foot. This will give your partner something to look forward to as they struggle to stay awake in the morning.

If your partner can’t seem to wake up on time in the morning, they probably don’t love that time of the day. You can make it a little more enjoyable for them with any of these gifts.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
