At some point in the not-too-distant future, you’re going to want to change your fence, or get one installed for either safety, or security reasons, but it’s probably been a while since you last looked into fences and what’s available for consumers these days. Already, you’re probably asking yourself, what on earth could they do to a fence to make it any different?
Last time around
The last time you went through this process, there was probably the option of a wooden fence or, a wooden fence either in a panel style or a traditional, solid timber, post and rail fencing construction, that was as hard as it got when it came to product choices. The main thing was, making sure that whoever was fitting the fence knew what they were doing and used the correct fixings for keeping the posts in the ground. Especially with panel fencing, if they weren’t nailed down to the floor, so to speak, and there were heavy winds, you could find your fence half way down your street one day.
The best of both worlds
These days you can choose products that have the natural look of beautifully crafted wood yet, they have the durability of plastic. It’s a growing trend all throughout the country because with this kind of post and rail system there is little to no maintenance and they last forever, quite literally. Plastic doesn’t exactly have the best name when it comes to decomposing so, you may as well use it to make something that you want to last forever!
Plastic fencing may sound a bit cheap and to be fair, it does the products no justice at all, there is some extremely high-tech engineering that has gone into making the final products. You could join the online shopping trend and check them out online, you’ll see that they have the beauty of things like endless colours as well as choices of texture too, you really can make your fence as personal as you like.
Now, on to the really smart stuff
Some of the more premium fencing systems also have a ‘coating’ or outer layer that is specifically designed to include a more powerful level of UV protection so that your fence won’t start to turn a different colour as time goes by. The sun is great and all that, but if your fence starts turning after a little while, then you could end up with a different look to your garden, and not one that you’ve chosen.
Due to the special coating that these fences receive, they offer many benefits over a standard ‘plastic’ fence. For one, they never need painting, they will never go rotten and, things like termites and various other little critters won’t be interested in it, not even for a second so, you don’t need to treat it as time goes by either!
Personalization, it’s a personal affair
As mentioned above, you can choose the colours and look of your fence to truly make it unique, a fence that, perhaps, nobody else has and, with the right company, you could find yourself looking at a range of natural wood like colours, as close to the real thing as you can get and, textures that have been inspired by the Great Australian Outback.
