Animal Rescue: Why You Should Rescue An Animal

December 24, 2020 by Annie

We often witness how some people mistreat animals. As human beings, we never want to see an animal being a victim of any sort of cruelty by humankind. Therefore, whenever you have the opportunity to rescue an animal, you imperatively need to do so. For example, you can consider adopting a dog in any dog shelter that is available in your area. Usually, an animal reaches a pet donation centre for obvious reasons, such as:

  • Somebody came to their rescue.
  • The owner can no longer pay for the animal’s expenses.
  • Stray animals are starving on the road.
  • People left newborn animals in a dustbin.
  • Because they lost their way
  • Owners are going abroad.
  • Owners got divorced or became homeless.

As you may deduce, it is incredibly stupefying how people can act with such cruelty towards dogs and other animals. Therefore, it is a massive request that all animal lovers humbly demand other people: rescue an animal. It is always a good deed that you can provide to those animals by giving them a chance to have shelter and food. You can save this animal’s life who was a victim of cruelty or does not have any owner. Henceforth, when you see an animal screaming for help, do consider rescuing it. A simple deed such as taking them to a dog shelter or adopting them can save them.

Why you need to rescue an animal

You will save a life.

You will not only rescue an animal, but also you will save a life. Take a moment and imagine this scenario. Suppose you are walking on the road, and you spot an animal, such as a dog, cat, or hamster, and they are screaming for your help. They are asking you for food and shelter in their language. Can you imagine how awful it can be for them to see that you are not helping them? Or the worst scenario can be that no one will help them after you leave, and may end up dying in a few days. If you do not want to adopt an animal, you can consider taking them to a pet donation centre or a dog shelter if it is a dog.

Adopt and obtain a new companion

Rescuing an animal is the best thing that a human being can do. Moreover, if you are considering adopting a rescued animal, you will not only save a life but end up getting a new friend. Pets can bring tremendous positive changes to a human’s life, such as:

  • It reduces your blood pressure.
  • Decreases the level of cortisol; too much of cortisol causes stress.
  • Helps you get rid of loneliness, depression, and anxiety.
  • Positively boost your mood.
  • It brings happiness to your life.
  • Motivation; for example, taking your dog to the sea.
  • You can play with them when you are bored.
  • Become more responsible.

Help to stop the cruelty.

If you happen to rescue an animal, you can be proud of yourself. Saving an animal, especially those suffering from human cruelty, is the best thing you can do. In some cases, some people are mistreating animals by treating them as a business asset. Hence, if you rescue an animal from a disastrous situation, you are undoubtedly raising a voice against cruelty to animals globally.

Make people aware

Nowadays, with advanced technology, you can effortlessly make people aware of the importance of rescuing an animal. Therefore, you can use social media’s power to spread awareness worldwide by making a short video story of how you have rescued an animal. People’s heart will melt when they see such videos, and this will undoubtedly create an on-the-spot impact on them, which will eventually lead them to rescue an animal. In other words, you will incredibly encourage other people to rescue or adopt an animal.

Be Proud

Undoubtedly, you will feel proud after rescuing an animal. Indeed, it is easy to buy an animal in a pet shop and nurture them. But the joy that a rescued animal will bring into your life is unimaginable. Whenever you think you are providing food and shelter to a rescued animal, you will always feel content.

Parting Thoughts

Conclusively, rescuing, or adopting an animal is something that one needs to do once in their lifetime. It is not obligatory to adopt a rescued animal if you do not have the means. Instead, you can always take those animals to a pet donation centre where they will receive adequate care. A simple move from your side will save an animal’s life. If you have read until here, consider spreading the awareness of how important it is to rescue an animal.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
