Why Parents Love the 14ft Trampolines for their Kids In COVID

December 2, 2020 by Annie

Working from home sounds like a lot of fun. You can sleep later than usual, sit behind the computer in your pajamas, and have constant access to the kitchen. If you have children, working from home might become a bit of a nightmare. On any normal day, parents would love spending extra time with their little munchkins, but there’s something about having your kids at work that makes you really unproductive.

Having to give them attention while finding activities to keep them occupied can cause missed deadlines, late work nights, and loads of frustration. If you feel guilty for wanting some solitude while working from home during COVID, you are not alone. This article will tell you more about how parents struggle and try to cope with the same problem.

Luckily, smart parents are coming up with great solutions to keep their children active and occupied in order for them to keep on being productive. One of these things is the 14-foot trampoline. But why do parents love it so much?

Full Body Workout

Trampoline jumping has become an exercise done by many adults in gyms all over the world – it’s more commonly known as rebounding. This isn’t only because it is fun. It’s because trampoline jumping is a great full body workout. Using your body’s own resistance and engaging your core will result in a full body workout that releases a lot of tension.

Another added benefit is that jumping on a soft trampoline net isn’t as strenuous on your little one’s knees and joints as running or skipping.

Fun

Trampolines offer an abundance of possibilities. When used in a safe way, children can jump on their stomachs, backs, and sides – believe it or not, but trampolines aren’t just for jumping on your feet. This creates a fun sensation that allows your child to explore their physical abilities.

Activities like cycling or running offer children only one kind of action, whereas jumping on a trampoline offers many more possibilities. This means that children don’t get bored as easily and can be occupied with trampoline jumping for a very long time. Allowing parents, the time to do their work out of the silent comfort of their own homes.

Release of Energy

One of the main reasons why parents love 14ft trampolines is because it gives their children the opportunity to let go of some build up energy. Children are still growing, which means that they truly struggle to sit still. Sitting inside the home while being bored is almost impossible for a little one.

Many Benefits

Sure, all kinds of exercise are great for your child. Because trampoline jumping engages so many different muscles and physical abilities it has many benefits. Here is a list of the top ones:

  • Improves eye sight and hand-eye coordination
  • Increases flexibility, agility, and sense of balance
  • Increases energy levels by rejuvenating the body
  • Improves blood flow and cardiovascular functions
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Improves and encourage digestion
  • Boosts the immune system
  • Reduces body fat
  • Increase bone density and strength

Improves Mental Health

We shouldn’t underestimate the impact COVID-19 has had on our children’s mental well-being. It’s not just adults who are experiencing the debilitating effects of the global pandemic. Children from all over the world are experiencing a new norm, where the daily routine they were once used to is now something of the past.

Interaction with other children is also taken away and this can have a negative effect on your kids. Jumping on a trampoline, despite how simple it might sound, is great for mental health. Being active increases blood flow, as a result, it shoots feel-good hormones into the body.

Being outside and getting exposure to the sun and its healthy Vitamin D can also make a child feel more positive and livelier. If for some reason you are a parent who doesn’t have a trampoline in the back yard during the global pandemic, then you should jump on the net and add it to your grocery list. Not only will it provide your child with countless hours of exercise and energy release, it will also give you some downtime to ensure you reach those deadlines.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
