You Don’t Need To Suffer From Medical Problems Due To Cosmetic Surgery

February 12, 2018 by Annie

Suffering from a botched surgery is extremely painful. The problem could go on for days or even months. It is even more painful to realise that you are alone in this battle. People around you will shun you and not even care that you have suffered from a botched surgery. They will think that you have decided to have the surgery in the first place, so you should suffer the consequences.

Furthermore, the problem still has to be fixed. After spending a lot of money to pay for the procedure, you need to spend more to get medical help. Corrective medical procedures could be more expensive.

Eventually, you will feel stressed out and might be on the verge of giving up. Before you think this way, you have to realise that you are not alone in this battle. You can seek legal help from experts in cosmetic surgery claims.

You did not expect this to happen especially if you were careful in determining the doctor to trust. You also paid a certain amount in exchange for a procedure that you really wanted. If this trust was not reciprocated, you need to file a claim.

Besides, at this point, it is not just a matter of principle. You need to be practical. You need the money and you have to do everything you can to get financial help especially for the Breast Revision you will likely need.

Considerations for settlement

Most cosmetic clinics will end up making a settlement if you threaten to file a case. They might have good lawyers who can help them and they could even win the case, but the optics are not good. They could be dragged down because of how news stories are sensationalised these days. They might survive the case but their image won’t recover.

Therefore, their best strategy is to settle with you. It is important to have top lawyers on your side. They will make sure that during the settlement, you will be treated right. Consider the total medical costs first. You should also ask for more for emotional damage. If your job is affected or you have lost it because of what happened, you can ask for more money. The legal fees must also be taken into account on top of everything else.

Don’t settle unless you think all the fees will be covered. In return for the payment, you will agree to not file a case and keep quiet. This is the only chance for you to negotiate the terms.

Stay strong during the process. You have experts on your side helping you out. You are not alone. Never let the other party take control and make you sign for an amount which is way lower than what you deserve.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
