How I changed my body and life around again

April 7, 2022 by Annie

In addition to my dance career for ten years and my personal training in college, I also strive to maintain a particular physique: being lean and toned. Being fit and looking a certain way was always important to me, which is why quarantine during covid time was a difficult time for me (as it was for all of us).

Just like everyone else, quarantine hit me hard. The gyms were closed, I had no social obligations, I stayed at home all the time, so although I had plenty of opportunities to exercise and eat well, I wasn’t as motivated as usual due to quarantine and boredom. I was gradually developing this stir craziness that did not seem to go away, despite having no desire to work out, particularly since I was used to working out at the gym or in the dance studio. I began to gain weight, which I had never been used to and needed to get back on track as soon as possible, as my weight gain slowly but surely developed onto a gradual depression. My friend told me about a procedure that is designed to freeze away your fat, called CoolSculpting.

As a beginner, I was skeptical, but intrigued, since I wasn’t sure how to get back into my regular fitness routine. Since I had always had this perfect body, I never felt the need for cosmetic treatments, especially for body sculpting. I ended up doing it anyway and was pleasantly surprised with my results. Because I was finally beginning to look and feel like myself again, I developed more motivation to get back to the gym.

After a few treatments, I couldn’t help but get back to my healthy habits and hit the gym again. Results inspire you to continue and maintain them, which is exactly what happened to me. Before I knew it I was able to start with consistent exercises.

I started small. Consistency is key, therefore, I began by exercising for 20-30 minutes three to four times a week. This workout included boxing and deadlifts (cardio, coordination, dance, and the squats and butt exercises I haven’t done in so long.) I enjoyed it very much and felt more energetic. Increasing my protein consumption did not mean giving up any foods. As for me, I saw results right away after the CoolSculpting treatment. Though I was skeptical at the start, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the results.

My CoolSculpting treatment was at Skinly Aesthetics, where I learned more about how it works and how it differs from other treatments.

CoolSculpting eliminates the risk of surgical intervention and downtime associated with liposuction. Using cryolipolysis, which essentially freezes subcutaneous fat cells beneath the skin, without damaging surrounding tissue, the targeted fat cells are killed off, and metabolized by the body over the course of 1 – 3 months. While it does take some time to see results, the fact that I did not have to undergo a surgical procedure was well worth it.

In fact, there are many minimally invasive alternatives to other body sculpting treatments, such as non surgical butt lifts.

It’s not uncommon to hear of butt implants, which are surgically implanted under the muscle to give you a larger backside. This is done using silicone pads.

A BBL is a well known butt lift. By this method, fat is taken from an area of the body (usually the abdomen, the back, the arms, or the legs), and is injected into the butt in order to enhance volume and projection. Sculptra is a minimally invasive alternative to both butt implants and a BBL, in which collagen production is stimulated in the treated area, which results in growth of the area over a two-to-three-month period. You should go to a clinic like the one I went to MiracleFace MedSpa, to make sure that you get quality treatment with experienced physicians.

A description of the Brazilian Butt Lift

The Brazilian butt lift, also called BBL, is a very popular procedure in which body fat is injected into the butt area from a different region of your body. Liposuction is necessary for removing fat from these areas. You will get a fuller, more sculpted buttock by injecting the fat into the buttocks. The treatment helps you work on both your waist and your butt at the same time. Increasing your butt size and getting more toned is one way to do so. This procedure has a downside. Your fat may settle differently than you think. The results may be lumpy or unsymmetrical even after two years, which is why Sculptra, a minimally invasive alternative is often preferred.

Sculptra injectables for non-surgical buttlift

This non-surgical procedure can be used to enhance your backside more naturally with fewer invasive steps. In the course of treatment, several vials will need to be injected. Through the Sculptra Butt Lift injectable enhancement, your own collagen is produced, causing your butt to grow over time. Extra collagen wraps around particles in the treatment area that typically would break down, and prevents them from being destroyed. In the next one to two months, the treatment area will expand and upgrade in volume. If you are looking for a natural-looking backside without undergoing surgery, Sculptra can be a great choice for you.

Can these treatments be dangerous? Why do people get them?

Liposuction and CoolSculpting are popular with people who want to get in shape, and some are unable to lose excess fat on their own, so they turn to procedures like liposuction and cryolipolysis.

Bruising, swelling, numbness, and itching are some of the side effects of CoolSculpting. You may be able to lose fat without undergoing surgery if this minimally invasive fat freezing treatment can meet your needs in terms of how your body responds and what kind of results you want.

In some cases, body positivity may include getting your work done as well (if that is what you want), because we have the freedom to choose how we want to look and what makes us feel confident.
