5 Super Healthy Foods To Add To Your Diet:

Avocados

Avocados are a super food and boast over 20 unique vitamins, nutrients and minerals. Examples of which include vitamin C, potassium and omega 3. The latter of which is a healthy fat, which will keep you feeling fuller for longer and will support new cell growth. Better yet, a standard sized avocado only contains 64 calories and 6 grams of fat.

Avocados have also been proved to regulate cholesterol levels and contain folate. The latter of which can significantly decrease your chances of developing cancer. Lastly, avocados contain 25% of your daily vitamin K target. Vitamin K is crucial to maintain healthy strong bones.

Greek yoghurt

Greek yogurt boasts probiotics, a form of healthy bacteria which will boost your body’s immune system. So if you hate having to cancel social engagements or call in sick to work due to catching a cold or flu, it’s well worth covering your cereal with Greek yogurt in the mornings. As an added bonus Greek yogurt can also be consumed in order to regulate your digestive system.

If you’re not a fan of breakfast cereals, there’s no need to worry as Greek yogurt can also be used as a delicious substitute for sour cream, mayonnaise, and cream cheese.

Blueberries

Blueberries are packed full of antioxidants, which will decrease your chances of developing cancer and keep your skin looking youthful. Better yet blueberries are one of the most nutrient-dense foods available and contain a wide variety of essential nutrients. Examples of which include vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese, Fiber, and Lutein.

If you’re keen to add blueberries to your diet, you may want to try using blueberries in your smoothies or sprinkling a handful of blueberries on to your cereal. You can even sprinkle blueberries on top of your favorite salad, to add a sweet kick to your savory salad.

Broccoli

Broccoli contains a high percentage of folate, which can decrease your chances of experiencing a stroke or developing heart disease or cancer. So it’s well worth steaming broccoli, as a side to accompany your favorite meals.

Broccoli is also rich in vitamin C which your body uses to build collagen, which your body needs to repair your bones and build new tissue. Vitamin C is also well worth consuming as it can also protect your body from potentially dangerous free radicals.

Wheatgrass

If you’re curious as to why so many health fanatics add wheatgrass to their smoothies and juices, the simple answer is that wheatgrass is packed full of nutrients. Examples of which include iron, calcium, magnesium, amino acids, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E. So if you’re looking for a tasty new ingredient to add to your smoothies and juices, it’s well worth experimenting with wheatgrass.
