Top GPS Tracker Applications for Monitoring Your Kids

September 29, 2019 by Annie

There was a time when it was almost impossible to track the location of a person causing various kinds of trouble. Now, the time has changed, the modern GPS tracker apps available for smartphones and other gadgets are capable of providing real-time location including other useful figures such as sounds from the surrounding, blocking features and many more. For parents, these apps are the best solution to keep their children safe. Let’s explore a few of them here:

Find My Kids

Find My Kids is an amazing child monitoring app including features like location tracking, location history, smartwatch connection, and an emergency button.

No need to disturb kids to ask where they are. You will get automatic notification of their live location. You can download the location history report which also includes the path they have chosen to reach there. Find My Kids helps you in tracking their environment for their security purpose.

If your kid is in danger then he or she can send you the SoS signal on just a single click. With this, you get their live location and the noise in their surroundings will get recorded. It shows a report of phone usage time in the form of stats which lets you know on which app they have spent more time.

Family Tracker

Family Tracker comes in the market with the feature of tracking the whole family. It is not only for the kids. You are allowed to monitor the activities of any family member you want. You will be notified of the real-time location of the kids and other family members for their security purpose.

It includes an inbuilt messaging feature to contact all family members with this app. Also, you will be notified when they read the message. If kids are not paying attention then you can switch on the siren alert on a high volume. It will keep playing until they talk to you. It is available for both Android and IOS platforms. But there is a disadvantage that you need to pay $5.99 for each device separately.

SecuraFone

There are lots of child monitoring applications available in the market but SecuraFone is the only one who notifies you with their vehicle speed. You can set a specific visiting area so that if they cross that boundary you will get a notification.

It used the inbuilt GPS feature to get the live location updates. They have a website named “breadcrumb trail”, from where you can download the reports of previously visited locations. Also, you can check their data usage graphs of 90 days. Simply you need to download it from your PlayStore or AppStore. It needs a subscription for availing of the features.

MMGuardian

MMGaurdian provides an amazing web filtering feature. With this, you can restrict the kids from accessing adult websites, contents. It is compatible with both IOS and Android. You can get the live updates of the kid’s location and no need to call kids for the same.

Only a few features are available in the IOS version as Android allows you to access all the features. In Android, you can monitor the calls and messages of the target mobile. It has the only disadvantage that it has an old and outdated interface. It is quite expensive as other apps are providing more features at the same rate.

KidLogger

KidLogger is a child monitoring app having location tracking and many other required features. It helps you in monitoring kid’s activities and is compatible with Mac, Windows, Android, and IOS.

You are eligible to restrict kids from using unwanted and unsafe websites. It has many other features like monitoring app usage, time scheduling, app blocking, and call log. The feature of monitoring social apps makes it different from other applications.

All the features work properly in Android but not in IOS. Rest it location tracking works properly in both versions. You can check the location history easily and along with the Google map links.

Qustodio

It is designed with a user-friendly interface. It proves the best application for parents who mostly stay busy at work. It works efficiently by letting you know that how much time kid has spent on mobile. It also tells the app they have used.

It also helps you in monitoring their social activates like on Instagram and Facebook. Even you are allowed to track their calls, messages and app blocking. You can block the downloading of unsafe applications.

It costs you $55 per year which is a little bit expensive. But in this plan, you are allowed to use it on 5 different mobiles. It also has a free version that supports limited features and can be used only on one device.

These applications are very helpful. All it requires is to download and install them on your smartphone and target gadgets. Rest is assured- your whole family will live a happy and safe life.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
