PARENTAL CONTROL APP AND OTHER THINGS TO DO TO SAVE YOUR KIDS FROM PAEDOPHILES AND SEXUAL PREDATORS

November 19, 2021 by Annie

One of the most difficult things being a parent is telling your kids the world is not a very safe space for them. So, they have to live with care.

But then, you are a parent and you have to take the bitter step and guide your kids for the better. There are rising concerns for kids’ safety as by every passing day, more and more cases of child abduction, attacks by pedophiles, and online abuses are coming to notice.

There needs to be a control and different states are taking measures. But, the paranoia that parents have needs to be controlled first. Because, first and foremost, you deserve to live with peace and satisfaction. With fear lingering in your mind that whether your child is safe or not, why are they not home yet, are the friends your kids are having on social media, decent people, and many other things, that is not possible.

Thus, we believe you have to take measures once and for all. Here is what you, as a parent, should do to keep your young ones protected all the time.

  1. EDUCATE THEM ABOUT GOOD TOUCH AND BAD TOUCH

This might seem obvious but most of you are ignoring its importance and hesitating to discuss some mature topics with your kids. Right?

Well, there is no point in hiding such things from your children. Because if you don’t tell them, they are either going to learn it from the sources that are not desirable or they might fall prey to such predators. So, this is not the time to be shy around your kids.

Make them explore their bodies and how they need to protect them. The concepts of good touch and bad touch can really help. Most of the time, it is the people that a child meets (relatives, adult or teen friends, etc.) who take advantage of the ignorance of kids. Thus, it is now that you are talking to your kids about it.

Don’t let them freak out and keep the conversation very polite and calm. Moreover, you can use some videos to make your children understand the concept completely. Be open to discussing it completely and answer as many questions as the child asks.

  1. MAKE THEM TRUST YOU WITH SHARING THEIR DAILY MATTERS

Most of the parents are lacking here. They do not let their children have trust in them by reacting in strict ways to their minor mistakes. That is a poor strategy.

Whenever your child comes up with a problem, stay calm and discuss the possibilities for improvement with them even if it includes their fault. This will let them be easy with discussing all of their issues with you. You have to encourage them to discuss their daily matters and interactions with you. It will help them in many ways. However, you will find out about their friends, the people they meet and their relationship with your child, and your kids’ activities. Moreover, from their conversation, you will get a clue if something is not going right.

Also, must encourage your children if their interaction with someone was unusual or if they had any uncomfortable experience with anyone.

  1. USE PARENTAL CONTROL APPS AND MAKE THEM ALERT YOU WHENEVER THEY ARE IN DANGER

A parental control app can help you in many ways. You can keep a check on their digital activities and the people they are in contact with. Not just that, if you are using one of the best parental control apps for iPhone or Android, you can have a lot more features to ensure your child’s safety.

For example, the FamilyTime Android parental control app will allow you to have the details of all the online activities of your kids from apps to the internet and their messages. Moreover, it has a feature of ‘Panic Alert’ for your kids to notify you whenever they are in danger. They just have to click it and you are notified. You can reach them following the location that is automatically shared with you.

So, you can be satisfied and have that peace of mind about your kids. Check out the details of their features here. Also, you can download it from the App Store or Play Store for free.

Stay happy and keep your kiddos safe!

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
