Four of the world’s best family vacation spots!

December 14, 2017 by Annie

Traveling as a family is incredibly important as it allows your family to create fun-filled memories, which your family will cherish for years to come. If you’re interested in organizing your next family vacation, simply continue reading to discover four family-friendly destinations to visit.

Four of the world’s best family vacation spots:

Queenstown, New Zealand

If you’re raising adventurous, active kids who are keen to learn new skills, it’s well worth flying to Queenstown. Queenstown, which is known for its world-class ski slopes, boasts a wide variety of family-friendly activities. Examples of which include dog sledding, skiing, jet-boating and luging. You can even book a horse-riding trek to some of the Lord of The Rings and Hobbit sets.

Make sure to book a cruise on the TSS Earnslaw, a historic steamboat which transports tourists across Lake Wakatipu, to the Walter Peak Farm. Where your kids will have an opportunity to hold a cuddly newborn lamb and enjoy a traditional New Zealand barbecue.

Waikiki, Hawaii

If your kids are keen to learn how to surf, it’s worth booking a family trip to Hawaii as Waikiki Beach as it boasts small, kid-friendly waves and an abundance of professional surf schools. All of which offer kid-sized equipment such as surfboards and rash vests.

When the sun goes down, it’s well worth booking a luau at Paradise Cove. A private beach where your family will be able to enjoy a canoe ride and learn how to weave a fish souvenir before sitting down to watch a cultural show, which includes traditional Hawaiian hula and Polynesian fire dancing. If you’re lucky your kids may even get pulled up onto the stage to learn how to hula.

Paris, France

Not only will your kids get a thrill out of seeing the Eiffel Tower’s nightly illumination show and getting to hand pick their own brightly colored macarons but Paris is also located within a short drive of two world-class theme parks. Disneyland Paris and Parc Asterix.

If you’re interested in exploring a theme park that is decidedly French, it’s well worth visiting Parc Asterix as it based on the classic French comic Asterix. Which follows a village of French Gauls who refuse to surrender their village to the Roman Empire. Parc Asterix boasts plenty of kid friendly and family friendly rides, which are bound to have your kids squealing with delight.

If your kids are obsessed with fairytales, it’s also well worth booking a tour of the Palace of Versailles. Which served as Marie Antoinette’s home and is one of the most opulent palaces in the world.

Orlando, USA

Orlando boasts a wide variety of theme parks to keep your kids entertained. Examples of which include Universal Orlando Resort, Universal’s Islands of Adventures, Sea World Orlando, and Walt Disney World.

Orlando is also home to Discovery Cove, where your children will get a chance to interact with friendly dolphins and the Kennedy Space Center. The latter of which may appeal to kids who have an interest in space and dream of becoming an astronaut.

So if you’re looking to plan a family vacation, simply choose the idea which excites your family the most and pack your bags, for the trip of a lifetime.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
